This bike was made in the time when its founder Gary Turner still managed the company. Distinctive triple triangles that formed a GT bicycle frame in its classic steel frame seldom comes by. By contrast modem GT frames are made with a sloping toptube that look "squashed up" in its the upper inverted triangle; if you're a real GT fan, you not want such new design, do you?
In traditional steel frames the Downtube runs parallel to the Seat-stays; in modern GT Alu frames, they are no longer parallel and in effect look like any other alu bike frame
